There was heavy rainfall in upper area of Kashmir which resulted in overflow of rivers in the region of Kullu & Manali. Many roads, highways like Leh-Manali highway has been closed.
Recently weather forecast circulated an alert of heavy rainfall due to which Manali and Leh highway would be closed for at least 48 hours. Transport facilities for Locals and tourists had been suspended
across various routes.
There was a cloudburst at Kullu district and the level of water rose up in Beas River. Government of
Himachal Pradesh had announced holiday in schools and colleges.
The level of water in rivers of Himachal was up and swallowed parked buses and trucks from parking zone. Himachal Pradesh was witnessed of heavy rainfall from past three days along with several states like Haryana, Punjab and Kerala. Heavy rain has also been forecast in Mumbai area for next 2-3 days.
